Q1. Is GERMISEP approved by the Ministry of Health?
Yes, it is approved by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Q2. Will GERMISEP be affected by the presence of organic matters?
Yes, GERMISEP will remain effective in the presence of organic matters as the NaDCC is slowly releasing hypochlorous acid at the same rate as it is being used, maintaining sufficient level of available chlorine for disinfection.

Q3. Will GERMISEP cause corrosion to metals?
It has very little/no effect on most metals, except if ferric metals of low quality are being used. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for usage.

Q4. Do I have to remove soilage before using GERMISEP solution?

Yes. In order to achieve complete disinfection, make sure to remove soilage using detergent solution and rinse properly before using GERMISEP solution.

Q5. Do I have to rinse after using GERMISEP solution?
Do not rinse, as rinsing after disinfection will reintroduce contamination.

Q6. How long can the unused solution be kept?
It is not advisable to keep the solution for more than 24 hours.

Q7. Will prolonged usage of GERMISEP cause microbial resistance?
No, GERMISEP will not cause resistance and rotation is not neccesary.

Q8. Is GERMISEP environmentally friendly?
It will not cause any environmental damage as GERMISEP is biodegradable.

Q9. Can GERMISEP be used together with cleaning detergent?
It is not advisable as it will cause deterioration of efficacy.

Q10. How frequent do I have to apply GERMISEP solution to keep the area disinfected?

It depends on the traffic of the area. Contact us for further details.

Q11. Is there any difference between GERMISEP and commercial liquid hypochlorite?
GERMISEP solution is at pH 5.5-6.7 with 90% undissociated HOCl available for germicidal activity, whereas liquid hypochlorite is alkaline and has low germicidal activity due to small amount undissociated HOCl. GERMISEP also has a better safety profile.

Q12. What should I do if I accidentally swallowed GERMISEP?
If swallowed, GERMISEP might cause stomach discomfort and this can be overcome by drinking a glass of milk.

Q13. Can FoodGUARD be used in HACCP approved food manufacturing plants?
FoodGUARD can be use for any food processing premises and it is especially suitable for those HACCP certified plants and the active ingredient NaDCC is approved by FDA.

Q14. Is FoodGUARD Halal?
FoodGUARD is a non animal-based product.

Q15. Can the tablet be divided for smaller volume preparation?
It is not advisable because the accuracy of the concentration will be compromised.

Q16. How many tablets of Puri-Safe can be taken in a day?
A healthy 60kg man can consume up to 2,940 litres of Puri-Safe treated water which is equivalent to 2,940 tablets of Puri-Safe.

Q17. Is it safe for babies to drink Puri-Safe treated water?
It is safe for babies to drink Puri-Safe treated water as long as it does not exceed the limit of 833mg/kg/day.

Q18. Will Puri-Safe cause sterility?
No, Puri-Safe will not cause sterility.

Q19. Do I still need to boil the water treated with Puri-Safe?
No further boiling is required as Puri-Safe has completely sanitized the water and it is safe for drinking.

Q20. Can Puri-Safe be used in dirty water?
We would suggest to filter the dirty water before adding Puri-Safe. Take note: Puri-Safe only eleminates microbial contamination and not chemicals.
