Q11. Is there any difference between GERMISEP and commercial liquid hypochlorite?
GERMISEP solution is at pH 5.5-6.7 with 90% undissociated HOCl available for germicidal activity, whereas liquid hypochlorite is alkaline and has low germicidal activity due to small amount undissociated HOCl. GERMISEP also has a better safety profile.
Q12. What should I do if I accidentally swallowed GERMISEP?
If swallowed, GERMISEP might cause stomach discomfort and this can be overcome by drinking a glass of milk.
Q13. Can FoodGUARD be used in HACCP approved food manufacturing plants?
FoodGUARD can be use for any food processing premises and it is especially suitable for those HACCP certified plants and the active ingredient NaDCC is approved by FDA.
FoodGUARD is a non animal-based product.
Q15. Can the tablet be divided for smaller volume preparation?
It is not advisable because the accuracy of the concentration will be compromised.
Q16. How many tablets of Puri-Safe can be taken in a day?
A healthy 60kg man can consume up to 2,940 litres of Puri-Safe treated water which equivalent to 2,940 tablets of Puri-Safe.
Q17. Is it safe for babies to drink Puri-Safe treated water?
It is safe for babies to drink Puri-Safe treated water as long as it does not exceed the limit of 833mg/kg/day.
Q18. Will Puri-Safe cause sterility?
No, Puri-Safe will not cause sterility.
Q19. Do I still need to boil the water treated with Puri-Safe?
No further boiling is required as Puri-Safe has completely sanitized the water and it is safe for drinking.
Q20. Can Puri-Safe be used in dirty water?
We would suggest to filter the dirty water before adding Puri-Safe. Take note: Puri-Safe only eleminates microbial contamination and not chemicals.
